Genestra Col-Sterol is a plant sterol formula that supports cardiovascular health by helping maintain healthy total and LDL cholesterol levels already within the normal range. Each softgel provides 650 mg of plant sterol esters from Brassica napus oil (a blend of beta-sitosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol). Because plant sterols are structurally similar to cholesterol, they compete with dietary and endogenous cholesterol for absorption in the intestine, reducing how much is absorbed and supporting healthy cholesterol metabolism. A daily intake of at least 1,300 mg of plant sterol esters, taken in two servings with meals as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may help reduce the risk of heart disease. The softgel format is easy to swallow. Each bottle contains 60 softgels.
