Genestra Liquid Iron is a highly bioavailable, microencapsulated iron supplement in a delicious natural raspberry-vanilla flavour. Each teaspoon provides 15 mg of iron from microencapsulated ferric pyrophosphate, a well-tolerated form chosen for enhanced bioavailability and improved tolerance over many iron pills. Iron helps form red blood cells and supports their proper formation and function, helps prevent iron deficiency anemia, and supports oxygen transport and energy levels. Insufficient iron is among the most common nutritional deficiencies worldwide, with women and children at highest risk. The formula is gluten-free, dairy-free and ideal for vegans. Non-Medicinal Ingredients:

Recommended dose — Adults and adolescents 9 years and older: take 1 teaspoon twice daily with meals, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Infants and children 0-8 years: take 1/2 teaspoon twice daily with meals, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Caution: For pregnant women, taking a daily prenatal multivitamin-mineral supplement along with this product may cause constipation, diarrhea or vomiting due to the high iron intake. Discontinue use if hypersensitivity occurs. There is enough iron in this package to seriously harm a child — keep out of reach of children. Shake well before each use. Do not drink directly from the bottle. Store in a cool, dry place. Use only if the seal is intact.
