Genestra HMF Maternity is a probiotic formulated to support the intestinal health of women during pregnancy, providing 10 billion CFU per capsule from four proprietary strains — Lactobacillus salivarius (CUL-61), Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL-34), Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL-20) and Lactobacillus paracasei (CUL-08). Its formulation is backed by clinical safety evidence: in a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 454 pregnant women, supplementation did not increase adverse event risk compared with placebo. Maintaining a healthy maternal gut flora may also help support the beneficial flora a newborn acquires. The vegetable capsules are easy to take. Each bottle contains 30 vegetable capsules.

Recommended dose — Women: take 1 capsule daily with a meal, at least 2 to 3 hours before or after taking antibiotics, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Caution: Do not use if you have an immune-compromised condition. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea or severe abdominal pain. Discontinue use if symptoms of digestive upset occur, worsen or persist beyond 3 days. Store under refrigeration (below 8°C). Keep out of reach of children. Use only if the box and contents are intact.
